Order Processing and Shipping

Web Orders submitted by 3PM (PST) are normally processed the same day (except on Saturdays, Sundays and Major Holidays).  In-stock items usually ship in 1-2 business days (Saturdays, Sundays and Major Holidays are not considered business days).

Shipments are sent Ground and normally take 3 to 5 business days to arrive after the order is shipped.  If an unexpected delay occurs, our Customer Service Department will contact you by email or telephone.  Our Customer Service Representative will update you with the new expected shipping date.  All credit card orders will not be charged until the order is ready to be shipped.  Based on the information provided, you may keep the order active or you may cancel.  

Free Standard Shipping to the 48 Contiguous States - Physical Address Only

Direct Tuning offers FREE Standard Shipping on orders over $150.  Look for the Free Shipping check mark next to the product.  If you select an item(s) with Free Shipping, you qualify for Free Shipping if the order is over $150.00.  Just select 'Standard Shipping - 48 States' when checking out.  

The actual shipping method and shipping carrier will be selected by Direct Tuning.  Orders qualifying for Free Shipping will be shipped via a standard ground shipping method. Expedited shipping methods are not eligible for Free Shipping.

Note: The following Guidelines and Conditions govern our Free Shipping Offer.

  • If you qualify for FREE Shipping but your order also contains one or more ineligible items, you'll be charged shipping fees for the order.
  • Canceling items, changing your shipping address, or changing the shipping method might affect your order's eligibility for Free Shipping.
  • Applies only to orders with over $150 of qualifying products only.
  • Excludes items that do not include a 'FREE Shipping' below their price.  Certain oversized products do not qualify for free shipping.
  • Applies to U.S. delivery addresses in the 48 Contiguous States only, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
  • Free Shipping does not apply to APO/FPO addresses with U.S. ZIP Code.
  • You will not receive FREE Shipping on your order if any eligible items are canceled, bringing the order total below $150.
  • If you return any items from an order that received FREE Shipping, the original shipping savings associated with the returned item(s) will be deducted from the refund amount unless the return was due to our error.
  • Direct Tuning reserves the right to change or withdraw the Free Shipping offer at any time without notice.

Expedited Shipping to the 48 Contiguous States - Physical Address Only

If you prefer to have you order shipped with an expedited service, please select the desired shipping method.  The shipping amount will be shown on the Shopping Cart.  Expedited shipments are not eligible for Direct Tuning's Free Shipping offer.  

3 Day Shipments will take 3 business days to arrive after the order is shipped.  Saturdays, Sundays, and Major Holidays are not considered business days.  

2 Day Shipments will take 2 business days to arrive after the order is shipped.  Saturdays, Sundays, and Major Holidays are not considered business days.  

Shipping - Alaska & Hawaii - Physical Address Only

If the shipping address is in Alaska or Hawaii, select Alaska & Hawaii as the shipping method.  The shipping amount will be shown on the Shopping Cart.  Shipping to Alaska & Hawaii is not eligible for Direct Tuning's Free Shipping offer.  

Shipping - PO Box Address

If the shipping address is PO Box, select PO Box & APO/FPO as the shipping method.  The shipping amount will be shown on the Shopping Cart.  Shipping to a PO Box is not eligible for Direct Tuning's Free Shipping offer.  PO Box orders are shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail.  There are certain weight and size restrictions on shipments sent through the US Postal Service.  Please call for details.  1-866-420-2865

Note: Hazardous items cannot be shipped by US Postal Service (flammable gas, liquids and solids, gaseous and pressurized products including aerosols).

Shipping - International Orders

At this time, Direct Tuning does not ship to internationally except for Canada, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic.  International orders may be subject to tariffs, customs duties, customs clearance fees and Value Added Taxes (VAT).  These costs are not included with the shipping charges collected by Direct Tuning.  These additional charges are entirely the responsibility of the purchaser. These fees and charges are normally collected by the shipping carrier or the clearing house acting as an agent for the shipping carrier.

Note: Customers are responsible for all shipping costs and fees associated with returned package(s) that have been refused or sent back to Direct Tuning due to unpaid tariffs and customs fees.

Shipping - Military Address (APO/FPO)

If the shipping address is Military Address (APO/FPO), select PO Box & APO/FPO as the shipping method.  The shipping amount will be shown on the Shopping Cart.  Shipping to a Military Address is not eligible for Direct Tuning's Free Shipping.  Orders sent to military addresses are shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail.  The US Postal Service will normally deliver the package to the Military within 2 business days.  After the military takes possession of the package, it may take as much as another 2 weeks to reach the final destination.  There are certain weight and size restrictions on shipments sent through the US Postal Service.  Please call for shipping quotations and details.  1-866-420-2865

Shipping - Oversized Items via Trucking Company

Depending on the item(s) being ordered and the destination of the shipment, different shipping carriers may be used to minimize shipping cost.  Truck Shipments can only be provided to physical addresses.  Shipping Oversized Items via Trucking Company is not eligible for Direct Tuning's Free Shipping offer.  We must also include your contact phone number for the trucking company.

Alternate Shipping Address & Credit Card Payments

For fraud prevention purposes, if your billing and shipping addresses are different, we must verify your shipping address. Please contact the bank that issued your credit card and have your shipping address listed as an alternate address in that bank's memo field. Please make sure your credit card issuer bank's phone number is correctly listed in your Direct Tuning's account information.

Pickup at our Retail Store

After you have added all your desired items to the shopping cart, go through the normal checkout process.  When you select the shipping method, select 'Pickup' and complete the checkout process.  Once Direct Tuning processes your online order and obtain payment approval, you will receive a confirmation e-mail notifying you that your merchandise is reserved in your name and available for pickup.

For your protection, only you or an authorized user of the credit card used to make the purchase may pick up your merchandise. To ensure convenience, you must bring the credit card used for the purchase, a valid photo ID, and a copy of the confirmation e-mail you received from Direct Tuning. Upon arrival, go to the store's customer service counter for prompt assistance. There you will be asked for the following:

  • A copy of your confirmation e-mail from the merchant (or your order number)
  • Proper photo identification (e.g., a state-issued ID or driver's license)
  • The credit card used to make your purchase

Again for your protection, the store's customer service representative will have you sign for your merchandise.

After submitting your order, you will first receive two e-mails from Direct Tuning: one confirming that the order was placed and one confirming that your payment was processed successfully. You will then receive a confirmation e-mail from Direct Tuning that the item is ready for pickup.
